Its role is to prepare the water before arriving at the reverse osmosis membrane 1000 GPD. It ensures a double mission:

Mechanical action: The polypropylene fiber retains suspended materials (sand, mud, rust particles) to prevent clogging of the membrane.

Chemical action: The activated carbon block neutralizes chlorine, pesticides and organic pollutants that alter the taste and, above all, which could irreversibly damage the membrane Ro.
