The cartridge AQUAPRO (PR-UPF-CA reference) is a specific processing module designed to reduce the hardness of water (limestone) or eliminate positively charged ions. It contains a high quality cationic resin in gel form, housed in a standard 10-inch container.

This filter works by ion exchange: it captures calcium ions ($Ca^{2+}$) and magnesium ($Mg^{2+}$) responsible for scaling and usually replaces them with sodium ions ($Na^{+}$). It is a compact and effective solution to protect small household appliances (coffee machines, water fountains) or to serve as a pre-treatment step in pure water production systems.

Treatment capacity: the life of the cartridge directly depends on the initial hardness of your water ($TH$). Once all the sites of the resin are busy, the cartridge must be replaced.

Replacement: In household use, replacement is recommended every 3 to 6 months depending on the volume of treated water.

Pre-filtration essential: To prevent the resin with sediment, it is imperative to install a sediment filter (5 microns) upstream.

Important note: This cartridge does not eliminate nitrates or heavy metals (use the AN or KS models for these specific needs).
